KAYAKING MIRAMICHI RIVER NB

$300

 From 1-4 persons.

When you visit a new destination do you enjoy touring around with a local guide? Would you like to hear from the authentic indigenous experiences of our world? If so, then this tour a great choice for you.  Our Kayaking Miramichi River NB tours are designed for singles and small groups from 1-4 person to provide a quality and personal experience for each of our guests. SP First Nations Outdoor Tours is ready to serve your every need. From planning the detailed itinerary, to providing transportation arrangements, all you need to do is sit back, relax, and let your mind explore.

We specialize in providing kayak tours from our unique location here in the Miramichi River region of New Brunswick Canada.  We plan a full day for a group to enjoy the outdoors. Our authentic indigenous experience begins with a traditional welcome, we then start the river tour by canoe or kayak, provide all riverside snacks, water and our local guide to help share the story of our ancient village here in Metepenagiag.  Archaeologists have uncovered details from a local ancient site that dates our indigenous village of Metepenagiag back to over 3500 years ago.  We still occupy the same traditional lands of our ancestors to this day and we want to share this beautiful story with you and your group about our resilience and indigenous history.

ALL ABOUT ME

Authentic Indigenous experiences

Hi My name is Stephen Paul,  I own and operate my own business SP First Nations Outdoor Tours offering authentic indigenous experiences through tour packages and workshops to local First Nations people and organizations, corporate clients and the traveler searching for that something unique, one of a kind experience we strive to deliver.

Born 1962 and raised as a child within the Metepenagiag First Nation, an indigenous community located in the traditional lands of the Mikmaq people of Northeastern New Brunswick.

I have over 40 years experience working in outdoors as a guide in local fishing camps within the Miramichi River area.

Married for 37 years to Florence my wife, we are proud to say we have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

I grew up watching my dad work in logging, fishing guide, hunt and trap in the outdoors to provide for our family.  He instilled in me a love for the outdoors.  As the years passed I would often find myself dreaming about working outdoors again.

I graduated high school, then onto forest ranger school, then some university and over a period of years have had many different work roles.

I had the chance to work for Metepenagiag, my first nation, for a period of years.  Developing the  Metepenagiag Outdoor Adventure Lodge,  I gained during this time valuable training and experience working in indigenous tourism.  We received an award in 2007 from Ulnooweg Dev.  Corp for Best Community Owned Enterprise in Atlantic Canada.

Like most people I switched careers various times and now work as a career counselor for indigenous people here in my First Nation of Metepenagiag..

Working in tourism has long been a dream of mine as I love working outdoors. I want to showcase our authentic indigenous experiences, our hospitality and this special region of New Brunswick that we call, our home.  The clean fresh air and water makes this territory a truly special place to both visit and live upon.

As a dedicated Indigenous Business Owner, I know plenty of great travel tips and the best hidden spots. Join one of my guided tours and get ready for an unforgettable experience. If you’d like to design your own tour, get in touch directly and I will be more than happy to work with your requests.
